Chains and Upgrades

It’s so important to keep the chains lubricated and adjusted correctly. There are a few upgrades available we offer to keep your machine running smoothly. A Nylon lipped Chain slide adjuster slide is a minimum for me, the standard pads just dont cut the mustard and offer no protection from slipping in the even that the chain starts to stretch, prevention is better than a cure. For a permanentr non wearing solutuion we offer a sprocket idler upgrade with sealed bearing (done once done right). A sealed bearing is key in the dirty environment along with the sprocket providing a smooth and guided path for the cutter chain.

Out of sight should not be out of mind! We recommend a chain lubricant with a tacing agent which stops the lubricant flinging off and filling up your chain case with grease. CRC Tac2 or WD40 spray and stay work well and is availible at Repco, Supercheap or Bunnings! Motorbike chain lubricant is also great.

The Cutter chain is a 06B-1 on the Scott Bonnars, Cox, Supaswift and Protea which can be purchased from out webstore.

The Intermeidate and rear Roller chain are both 415-1 on the Scott Bonnars where as the Cox, Supaswift and Protea all run the 415-H chain.

Remember it's whats on the inside that counts!
